We will be preparing soon for our bargaining with ANZ National - but before we bargain with the bank, we need to ensure that every work site has a FIRST Union delegate. 

Every year members either re-elect current delegates or elect new delegates in every site. This is called a delegate election meeting and this year the bank has agreed that every site can hold a delegate election meeting in the week beginning 23 April.  Dates are as follows:

•  All ANZ branches will hold their elections on Tuesday 24 April – delegates to run
• All National Bank branches will hold their elections on Thursday 26 April – delegates to run
• Back office and call centre meetings will run throughout the entire week. FIRST Union organisers will be in contact with members in those areas to set up delegate election meetings in those work sites.

A Delegate Election Pack containing all the information you need to run your meeting was posted to all retail branches yesterday, so you should receive yours early next week.  If it hasn’t arrived by Tuesday please contact Barbara Moses on barbara.moses@firstunion.org.nz – or phone 04 801 2008, and we will either email or fax you the information.

If you are back office or in a call centre, and you haven’t heard from your organiser regarding your delegate election meeting by early next week  – please contact the union.

Please ensure you have run your work site meeting by Friday 27 April, and that you have faxed your results sheet to FIRST Union so we can update our records.
